The leading manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles, the Chinese company DJI Technology Co. LTD reported that it was temporarily suspended in Russia and Ukraine. This is the first major company from the PRC to decide to stop selling its goods in Russia after the outbreak of war in Ukraine. This is reported by the Delfi news portal.
The company’s statement says that DJI does not accept any use of their drones to harm, so the company temporarily suspenses sales in these countries so that no one uses their drones in the fighting.
Although many Western companies left Russia in protest against the invasion of Ukraine, Chinese firms were in no hurry to turn their business there. At the same time, the Ukrainian side accuses the world’s largest producer of drones of a combination of Russia, which, using Chinese -made drones, conducts reconnaissance for military purposes. The company recognized that there is a video on the network, from which we can conclude that the Russian military uses DJI products. The representative of the company said that after the sale they cannot control the use of their drones.
