First Minister of Scotland resigned

The first Minister of Scotland Nikola Störzhen said that she was leaving the post.

This is reported by Sky News.

“Today I am announcing my intention to resign the first minister and the head of the Scottish National Party,” said Störzhen at a press conference in Edinburgh.

At the same time, she noted that she would continue to fulfill the authority until she was replaced by the new first minister.

Störgen has been the post of first Minister of Scotland since 2014. She replaced Alex Salmond in this post.

Recently, the leader of the Scottish National Party has survived a number of political failures, including the deviation of the UK by the UK Court of its plans for the conduct of the new referendum on independence and scandal in connection with the sending of transgender people with the male genital organs to a female prison.

In addition, Scotland has carried out a law on a decrease in the age of a change in the legal sex in conflict with the legislation of the United Kingdom.

So far, it remains unclear who will become the successor of Störgen.
