The first Turkish Earth observation satellite Imece successfully completed the first year of stay in space.
Imece was launched into orbit April 15, 2023.
on the occasion of a significant date, the Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey Mehmet Fatikh Kajir and the head of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadyr Uralogl shared publications in their accounts on social networks x.
Mehmet Fatih Kajir noted that many key components of the satellite, including an electrooport chamber, on -board computer, electric motor installation and communication subsystems, were completely produced due to national resources. The minister drew attention to the fact that the apparatus formed the basis of the development of satellites IMECE-2 and IMECE-3
“Thanks to investments in satellite technologies, we brought our country to a level that allows it to develop, test and produce our own satellites in the field of communication and visualization. In accordance with the goals of the national space program, we will take our country to the number of world space leaders,” wrote Cajir.
Abdulkadyr Uralogl, in turn, indicated that Türkiye continues to advance in the space region with the help of domestic developments and software.
