Fitch lowered rating of Russia to “significantly insufficient level of creditworthiness”

The international rating agency Fitch stated that lowered the long-term default rating of the issuer of Russia to “B” (a substantially insufficient level of creditworthiness), RIA Novosti reports.

Previously, Russia had a RDE rating was “BBB” (sufficient level of creditworthiness).

“The ratings were placed on a review with the possibility of lowering the rating,” the Fitch statement says.
