In the city of Merend Iranian province of East Azerbaijan, death sentences against five people convicted of rape are executed.
This was reported by the accounting judicial authority of Iran Mizan news agency with reference to the prosecutor Merenda Yusuf Ziyu Mehra.
The executed were detained in May 2022 after a complaint received from a woman.
During the trial, the accused pleaded guilty.
The death penalty was carried out after the sanction of the Supreme Court.
