TCG Anadolu – the largest ship of the Turkish Navy and the world’s first aircraft carrier, on the deck of which shock UAVs, arrived from Istanbul to Izmir, where the ship will be open to visits.
The ship that stood on combat duty on April 10 arrived in the port of Alsszhak. The ship is guarded by the coast guard boats of Turkey.
The ship will be open to visits after a press conference that will take place today. The ship will also be represented by the domestic tank Altay.
The implementation of the TCG Anadolu project started on April 30, 2016. His construction was carried out at the shipyard of Tuzla near Istanbul.
The ship was launched in May 2019, and from June 2022 the tests of the flagship of the Turkish fleet continued.
On a ship 230 meters long and 32 meters wide, it is possible to place a landing plastic with a landing, which allows you to quickly transfer the forces to any part of the region and the world. The total area of the ship is 9 thousand 200 meters.
The ship is designed as a whole for the transportation of 94 units of equipment, including 13 tanks, 27 armored personnel carriers and 6 armored personnel carriers. On the deck they can simultaneously sit down and take off 6 helicopters and 11 shock UAVs. The hangar of the vessel is designed for 19 more helicopters and 30 drones. The ship can also accommodate four boats.
TCG Anadolu, whose staff has 1,200 people, is equipped with a state -picol with 30 beds and two operating rooms. Can be used in the missions for the provision of humanitarian assistance.
Being the largest warship of the Turkish Navy with a displacement of 27,500 tons, the ship has 11 decks, a six -speed platform for aircraft, hangar and pool, where 4 mechanized landing boats can be placed.
The Navy ship is able to transport 13 tanks, 27 armored combat vehicles of the sea landing (Zaha), 6 armored personnel carriers, 15 trailers and 33 different vehicles.
TCG Anadolu is able to swim from Turkey to Japan or Australia without refueling.
