Flooding in Afghanistan claimed lives of more than 50 people

at least 50 people died as a result of floods that fell on various regions of Afghanistan.

According to local media, powerful rains, which fell into the northern and northeastern regions of the country, caused floods and sat down.

The head of the provincial control of the natural disasters of the province of Baglan Hedayatulla Hamdard said in an interview with the Kabul newspaper Tolo News that 50 people were killed as a result of floods in the areas of Burka, Nakhrin and the center of Balan.

In turn, the head of the Department for Combating natural disasters in the city of Badakhshan, said that the floods were affected by such regions of the provinces as Tishkan, Javan and Tagab. According to him, the element caused damage to the large number of residential buildings, schools and religious facilities.

Afghan authorities reported that emergency care was carried out in the regions affected by floods.
