Over the past three months, more than 75 thousand illegal migrants have been detained in Turkey, some of which have already been expelled.
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey Ali Yerlika on Wednesday.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that over the past 90 days, 1285 operations to combat illegal migration have been organized in the country.
“During the operations on suspicion of carrying out activities on the smuggling of immigrants, 2,159 people were detained. 543 of them were arrested, and in relation to 207 suspects, court decisions were issued,” he said.
According to the minister. As part of the operations, 75,442 illegal migrants were detained as a whole.
“32 563 migrants were deported. The procedures for other illegal immigrants continue.
Only 89,396 foreigners left the territory of the republic from Istanbul for the specified period.
