For first time in five years, Foreign Minister of Britain will visit China

The British Foreign Minister James Cleverly will make on Wednesday, August 30, a visit to Beijing, which will be the first visit of the Kingdom Foreign Minister in the PRC over the past five years.

This is stated in a statement by the British Foreign Ministry.

During the one -day visit, Cleverly will discuss with authorized representatives of China stabilization of bilateral relations and topical issues of the world agenda, including the war in Ukraine.

Cleverly plans to hold meetings with his Chinese colleague Van and and the vice-chairman of the PRC Han Zhan.

The British Minister will call China to “promote the end of the war in Ukraine, a decrease in tension in the South China Sea and the cessation of hostile activities in cyberspace,” the statement of the department said.

In addition, Cleverly intends to discuss the joint efforts of countries in the fight against climate change.
