Possible gas supply to Germany can be compensated by Norwegian gas, said Spiegel Online, the official representative of the operator Open Grid Europe.
The representative of the operator based in Essen noted that the malfunctions due to the restriction of transit “can be compensated by additional gas supplies from Norway”.
Earlier, the Operator of the GTS of Ukraine (OGTS) announced the cessation of gas transit to Europe through the Susty station since May 11. The company reported for force majeure circumstances, with the onset of which further transportation of gas through this station and the Novopskov compressor station becomes impossible. They are under the control of Russia. Almost a third of gas transit from the Russian Federation to Europe passes through Novopskov. The daily indicator is up to 32.6 million cubic meters.
