In terms of consequences, an earthquake in Turkey is comparable to an explosion of 500 nuclear bombs. This was announced on Saturday by the head of the Department for Minimization of the Risk of the Turkish Emergency Directorate of Organ Tatars.
“The duration of the earthquake was 2 minutes. At the same time, the destructive effect of it is comparable to the explosion of 500 atomic bombs,” Tatars said.
The underground shocks were recorded early on the morning of February 6 in southern Turkey, as well as in the north-west of Syria. The force of earthquake reached 7.4-7.7 points.
