The Elysee Palace introduced the new composition of the French government, reports TASS.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be headed by the Katrin column, replacing Jean-Yves Le Driana from 2017.
Gerald Darmanen was appointed to the post of head of the French Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Economics, Finance, Digital and Government Sovereignty will be headed by Bruno Le mayor. Both ministers retained their positions in the government.
The minister of the Overseas territories, Sebastien Lekorny, was appointed new Minister of the Armed Forces of France, replacing Florence Parlia.
The Minister of Health was Bridget Bourginon, the Minister of Education – Pap Nedia.
On May 16, French President Emmanuel Macron appointed Elizabeth Bourne to the post of Prime Minister of France, who had previously headed the Ministry of Labor. She became the first woman in this post for 30 years: before her, the French government was headed by Edith Kresson in 1991.
