The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Gambia Mamad Tangar called bilateral relations with Turkey “excellent”.
Tangar, who took part in the diplomatic forum in Antalya (ADF-2025, held in the NEST Congress Center in the Belek tourism region, the “global communication partner” of which is the Anadola agency, answered questions from the agency’s correspondent.
“Bilateral relations between Turkey and Gambeia at an excellent level,” the minister said.
noting that there is an opportunity to improve trade relations between the two countries, the diplomat said that he is hoping for close cooperation to improve relations in the future.
The minister added that Turkish relations with Africa correspond to the “Victory-Owls” policy, this situation is beneficial to all parties.
Having called Turkey investments in Africa a “step in the right direction”, Tangar noted that the Turkish private sector in Africa is developing very dynamically, and this situation strengthens bilateral relations.
The Minister said that the organization of Islamic cooperation (OIS) is working on the best solution to the problem in gas through dialogue, and emphasized that Gambia supports the decision on two states.
According to him, he takes part in ADF for the fourth time. Over the years, the forum has acquired a great influence.
Mamad Tangar believes that ADF has become a “Davos” diplomacy.
“We are always looking forward to the diplomatic forum in Antalya to discuss important issues, develop solutions and determine strategies,” summed up the Gambia Foreign Minister.
