Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov took part in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the minister in his speech spoke about the prospects for the development of cooperation in trade, economic, transportation, cultural areas, in the field of energy security, digital technologies, etc. As part of the OTG cooperation, initiatives and the approach of our countries on the issue of strengthening the organization, as well as on the presidency of Azerbaijan at the 29th session of the conference of the parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
Bayramov expressed satisfaction by the fact that during the period of reducing confidence in international structures and institutions, OTG, created on the basis of the historical Nakhchivansky agreement, over the past 15 years has turned into a reliable regional organization in the region and the world.
He expressed confidence that the summit, as well as all documents, including the declaration and charter of the Turkic world, which will be adopted as part of the forum, will have a positive impact on the dynamics of the organization’s development.
Bayramov noted the importance of strengthening against the background of modern regional and international challenges of economic potential, further increase in trade, diversification of transport corridors in order to achieve joint prosperity and general goals in the region.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of the Karabakh declaration adopted as part of the informal summit in the Shush on July 6 to realize the potential of the Turkic states, the implementation of important joint initiatives and projects.
Jayhun Bayramov praised the activities of the Turkp, Turks, the Turkic Academy, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Fund and the Turkic Investment Fund directly related to the activities of OTG, including the work of the OTG representative office in Hungary.
speaking of large-scale construction and restoration work carried out on territories liberated from the occupation, the minister noted that these works create ample opportunities for joint cooperation, including the development of the mid-corridor.
Following the meeting, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs signed a “decision to approve the Regulation on regular representatives in organizing the Turkic states” and “The decision to award the Alisher International Prize Navoi Organization of the Turkic states for contribution to the unity of the Turkic world.”
