Foreign Minister Of Azerbaijan And Secretary General OTG Discussed Strengthening Of Relations

Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov met with a visit to Baku as Secretary General of the organization of Turkic states (OTG) Kubanychbek Omuraliev.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that during the meeting of the Secretary General, he once again expressed his condolences in connection with the collapse of the Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft, wished patience to the families of the dead.

Bayramov, in turn, expressed gratitude for the letters with condolences and statements made by OTG and general secretary.

The minister emphasized that the strengthening of friendship, brotherhood and cooperation within the framework of OTG is the main priority. Azerbaijan constantly supports the steps, initiatives and ideas taken as part of the organization of Turkic states in order to realize this potential. The Minister noted the importance of further strengthening and expanding the secretariat of the organization and the status of an observer in international organizations.

The parties noted the significance of the informal summit held this year, adopted during it, the Karabakh Declaration, as well as decisions made during the Summit for multilateral cooperation within the organization under the organization. It was brought to the attention that the adoption of a single Turkic alphabet, a new flag and logo of the organization, the decision on the establishment of a civil defense mechanism, as well as agreements in a number of other directions, has further strengthened the organization.

The meeting also took an exchange of views on other issues representing mutual interest.
