Baku presented Yerevan for another package of proposals for the draft peace treaty a few days ago. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jahun Bayramov at a press conference in Tbilisi following a meeting with the Georgian colleague Ilya Darchiashvili.
Bayramov noted that the Constitution of Armenia still contains territorial claims to Azerbaijan. “This is one of the biggest obstacles to the world. We expect adequate steps from Armenia in this matter,” he said.
Azerbaijan minister emphasized that the work between the Delimitation commissions is also ongoing. “In the near future we will hear positive news,” he added.
The Foreign Minister of Georgia, in turn, noted that Georgia will do everything possible to sign a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“The economic projects jointly implemented by Azerbaijan and Georgia are important not only for us, but also for Europe,” the Georgian minister emphasized.
He noted that Georgia and Azerbaijan support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of each other.
According to Darchiavili, Azerbaijan for Georgia is not only a good neighbor and a friendly country, but also a very good strategic partner.
both countries effectively cooperate in the energy, transport, logistics and other areas, he added.
