Foreign Minister Of Turkey And Azerbaijan Discussed Bilateral Relations And Events In Syria

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in a telephone conversation discussed bilateral relations and events in Syria with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jaikhun Bayramov.

According to sources in the Foreign Ministry, Fidan held a telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani colleague Bayramov.

During the conversation, ministers discussed bilateral relations, the situation in Syria and other regional events.

According to the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry, Fidan and Bayramov considered Azerbaijani-Turkish relations, the situation in the region after the 2nd Karabakh war, events in the Middle East, in particular in Syria, and other issues of regional and international security.

The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan expressed his satisfaction and congratulations in connection with the election of the ambassador of Feridun Sinirlioglu as Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

The ministers discussed the events in Syria in detail. Bayramov expressed the support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria and the hope for the speedy settlement of the emerging crisis situation in accordance with the will and desire of the Syrian people.
