Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a meeting on Friday with the UK Foreign Minister David Cameron.
According to information received from diplomatic sources, the Turkish minister met with a British colleague in Istanbul.
The parties discussed bilateral interaction and regional issues, mainly the situation in the gas sector.
The meeting of ministers in the one -for one format lasted 90 minutes, then negotiations were held with the participation of delegations in the format of a working dinner.
In an interview with the British colleague, Fidan emphasized that in order to achieve the long -term world in the Middle East, it is necessary to immediately achieve a complete ceasefire in the gas sector and realize the decision to create two states. In addition, allied relations were affected in the framework of NATO.
Cameron, in turn, expressed satisfaction by the fact that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a presidential decree on the accession of Sweden to NATO and approved the corresponding protocol.
During the meeting, at which the importance of ensuring the safety of the Black Sea was also noted, both ministers confirmed the determination to strengthen bilateral relations between Turkey and Great Britain in all areas, including in the trade and economic industry and defense industry.
