Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed by telephone with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken F-16 supplies and the situation in the blocked gas sector.
According to diplomatic sources, a telephone conversation took place at the request of the American side.
Fidan recalled that on the eve of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Parliament adopted a bill on ratification of the protocol regarding Sweden entry into NATO.
Ankara expects that the US authorities and the US Congress will act in accordance with the spirit of allies and fulfill Turkish promises about the supply of F-16 fighters, the Turkish minister said.
Regarding the situation in the gas sector, Fidan reminded his colleague of the need to immediately ensure the ceasefire and the beginning of peace negotiations. In addition, ministers discussed the topic of Cyprus settlement.
