Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan condemned the Koran’s burning before the mosque in Sweden on the first day of the Kurban holiday.
“I condemn the vile act committed against the Holy Book of the Qur’an in Sweden on the first day of the Kurban holiday,” he wrote on Twitter.
Fidan called unacceptable such actions directed against Islam under the pretext of freedom of speech.
“turn a blind eye to such atrocities means to be his accomplice,” he emphasized.
On the first day of the holiday of Kurban in Stockholm, a man of Iraqi origin was burned by the Qur’an.
Salvan Momika, under the enhanced security of the police, threw the Koran to the ground in front of the Stockholm mosque in the Medbargareplatsen Mask, stepped on him, then uttered offensive words to Islam and set fire to the sacred book.
