Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alena Berse in Ankara. This was reported by diplomatic sources in the Turkish foreign policy.
The parties discussed the issues of cooperation between Turkey and the Council of Europe. Hakan Fidan emphasized that Ankara attaches great importance to relations with this organization, one of the founders of which is Türkiye.
The head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed support to Alena Bersse’s efforts aimed at developing the inclusive and dialogue -based consent, as well as his initiatives begun from the moment of taking office.
In addition, Fidan announced the need for a more active role of the Council of Europe in the fight against any manifestations of racism.
