The Foreign Minister of Turkey Hakan Fidan met in Baghdad with the President of Iraq Abdullatif.
According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the expansion of the volume of trade between Turkey and Iraq, the fight against terrorism and other issues of the bilateral agenda.
Fidan arrived on an official visit to Iraq the day before, August 22.
In Baghdad, the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry negotiated with the Iraqi colleague Foid Hussein. According to the results of the meeting, the heads of departments made a joint statement for the press.
The Turkish minister will also negotiate with the Prime Minister of Iraq Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, the speaker of the parliament Muhammad Halbushi and representatives of the Turkman community.
Then Fidan will go to Erbil, where he will meet with the leadership of the Kurdish regional administration of Iraq (Territory).
