Foreign Minister Of Turkey: Sustainable World Is Impossible Without Economic Development

The world in the GAZ sector, Syria and in many other regions cannot be sustainable if it is not backed up by economic development and prosperity.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan, speaking at a meeting of the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Group twenty countries (G20) in Johannesburg, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“The world in Syria, Gaza and many other regions of the world is extremely fragile. As a rule, economic restoration and development in such regions are short -lived if we do not offer them real prospects,” said, in particular, the Turkish minister.

The head of Turkish diplomacy emphasized that the G20 format should continue to remain a “priority forum” for international economic cooperation.

At the same time, the Turkish Foreign Minister indicated the need to take a number of effective steps in order to maintain “flexibility and relevance” G20. Fidan explained that such steps should be aimed at implementing “the desire for a more inclusive and representative global management system, primarily in relation to the maintenance of international world and security”, as well as “expanding the participation of developing economies and regional entities in the processes of adoption solutions “.

The Minister also drew attention to the importance of strengthening within the framework of the mentioned steps of “cooperation between G20 and regional organizations, such as the organization of Islamic cooperation (OIS), the Association of the States of Southeast Asia (ASEAN) and the African Union.” “Stimulating interconnectedness through regional economic corridors, especially in Central Asia, the Caucasus and the Middle East, the Transcaspeisian Middle Corridor and the project” Development Road “are vivid examples of this vision,” said the Foreign Ministry of the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

The diplomat emphasized the need to assist with the help of stable frames by the fair distribution of burden in solving migration crises and refugee crises, as well as supporting the countries taking refugees. He also pointed out the importance of improving the coordination of global efforts to solve the problems of food security, inflation and violation of the supply chain.

Hakan Fidan expressed confidence that having recognized the connection between geo -economics and geopolitics, the G20 could increase its effectiveness in the formation of a more stable world order. In his opinion, the channels of “economic diplomacy” could be used to bring bridges in order to overcome geopolitical disagreements. “In this context, it should be promoted by the role of the G20 role as a geo-economic stabilizer.
