Strengthening and institutionalization of strategic cooperation between Turkey and Uzbekistan in accordance with the needs and challenges of modernity is extremely important both for Ankara and Tashkent, and for all countries of the Turkic world.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan at a meeting with the Uzbek colleague Bakhtiy Saidov in Tashkent.
The head of Turkish diplomacy arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in tripartite consultations with the participation of foreign ministers, internal affairs and heads of intelligence services of both countries.
Hakan Fidan noted that the leaders of the two countries show a greater will to institutionalization and the further development of cooperation between Turkey and Uzbekistan.
According to him, the 3rd meeting of the High-level Council of Strategic Cooperation of the High-level Turkey-Uzbekistan became a “truly historical turning point.”
Fidan recalled that during the meeting of the heads of the two countries, important decisions made important decisions in terms of expansion of Turkish-Uzbek ties.
