The victory in the battle of Dumlupinar is the strongest expression of the spirit of national unity.
This is the Foreign Minister of Turkey, Hakan Fidan wrote on the social network X on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the Victory in the Battle of Dumlupinar on August 30, 1922.
The head of the diplomatic mission noted that 102 years ago, the Turkish people managed to write an epic, contrary to all difficulties.
“Today we continue our journey with the determination and faith of that day. Congratulations on August 30 on Victory Day,” Fidan wrote.
On Friday, August 30, Türkiye celebrates the 102nd anniversary of Victory in the battle of Dumlupinar. Festive events are held throughout the country, the official part of which is organized in Ankara.
Victory Day is one of the most significant holidays in the history of Turkey, dedicated to the victory of the Turkish army, led by the founder of the Turkish Republic of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk over the Greek troops under Dumlupinar in 1922.
