The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrei Sibiga met with the French colleague Jean-Nel Barro, who arrived in Kyiv on a visit. During the meeting, important issues were discussed, including the “Victory Plan” of Ukraine and the support of the world formula proposed by President Vladimir Zelensky.
The parties also discussed the “opposition of Russia’s attempts to escort the war with the involvement of North Korea’s support”, strengthening defense cooperation between Ukraine and France, as well as ensuring the energy stability of Ukraine in anticipation of winter.
Sibiga thanked France for comprehensive support and emphasized the importance of France’s role in Ukraine to the European Union and NATO. He noted the need for further deepening of defense cooperation.
He noted that the basis for wide cooperation with France in the defense industry has already been laid, including the localization and joint production of the necessary weapons, as well as the transfer of French innovative technologies.
The minister also expressed gratitude for the decision to create a Ukrainian brigade in France and expressed the hope that this example would be an inspiration for other partners of Ukraine. He emphasized that the support of the Victory Plan will be the best response of the Russian allies.
