represented by Kiev, the Formula of the World is the only way to the fair end of the war in Ukraine. This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrei Sibiga at a joint press conference with the Turkish colleague Hakan Fidan in Ankara.
Sibiga emphasized that the support of the Turkey of the Peaceful Plan of Ukraine and its leadership in the field of food security are very important for his country.
The diplomat noted that Türkiye has become one of the first countries that he visited as a minister.
According to him, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky instructed him to take steps aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations with Turkey on the basis of good neighborliness and mutual respect.
He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine show resistance, despite the difficult situation at the front. “Russia sends thousands of its soldiers on the battlefield every day, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold the front,” he said.
Commenting on the results of the meeting with the Turkish colleague, he said that the parties had comprehensive and productive negotiations. “Türkiye is our strategic partner with whom we strive to develop a strong relationship based on the principles of security and mutual benefit,” he stressed.
Sibiga expressed a great gratitude to Turkey for the fundamental support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. “We are grateful for the support of the Turkish Republic, personally the president (Recep Tayyip) Erdogan, the Minister (Foreign Affairs) Hakan Fidan and the entire leadership of the country in the issue of the end of the war on the fair world. We are also grateful for the support of the Turkish Republic, demonstrated from the first day of the war” , said the Ukrainian minister.
The head of the diplomatic unity said that he introduced the “Victory Plan” to the Turkish colleague, prepared by Kiev in order to end the war: “I emphasized that this victory plan is not an alternative to the Ukrainian peaceful plan, but, on the contrary, is a tool for its implementation”, he said.
The diplomat said that at the meeting we also discussed efforts to ensure freedom of shipping in the Black Sea, defense interaction, restoration of Ukraine and liberation of prisoners of war.
“We also discussed the assistance of the Turkish side in the release of prisoners of war from Russian captivity, including Crimean Tatars,” Sibiga added.
The Minister also noted the continuation of the implementation of the Grain from Ukraine program. He emphasized the important role of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the launch of this initiative.
