“Azerbaijan celebrates the 30th anniversary of UNESCO. Over the past three decades, cooperation between Azerbaijan and UNESCO has developed, and our country has become a reliable partner in ensuring peace and security in the world at all international venues, including UNESCO.” This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, distributed on Friday, June 3.
It is noted that the Azerbaijani side has always been committed to cooperation with UNESCO, the fulfillment of its obligations on the conventions, the participant of which it is, and, in particular, obligations to protect cultural heritage.
“For many years, our country has been making a significant contribution to the activities of the organization for the restoration and protection of cultural heritage, both in Azerbaijan and all over the world. Our country will continue to develop partnerships in the activities of the organization, remaining true UNESCO values, ”emphasizes the statement of the foreign policy.
