Iran and Saudi Arabia will resume the work of embassies in Riyadh and Tehran until May 9. This was announced by the director of the Department of Persian Gulf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran Alipra Enity in an interview with IRNA.
“In accordance with the achieved agreements of the embassy of the two countries, they will again open until May 9,” said Enity.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the hope that by that time the work and the Consulate General in Jidd and Mesheda would resume.
Enity positively appreciated the resumption of diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia and noted the great potential of their interaction in the fields of defense and energy. In addition, according to the director of the department, on the “agenda there are questions about the meeting of foreign ministers of the two countries” and the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic Ebrahim Raisi to Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE.
