“The Russian-American dialogue for strategic stability is formally frozen, and there is no prospects for cooperation on this issue.” This opinion was expressed by the director of the department for non -proliferation and control over the arms of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Ermakov, TASS reports.
According to him, all Washington’s actions are directed in the diametrically opposite side.
“In any dialogue, and even more so in a strategic dialogue, at least a adequate partner is necessary. At the moment, such a dialogue is formally frozen from the American side,” said the diplomat.
Note that the cooperation of Russia and the United States provided for an agreement enshrined in the agreement on the liquidation of medium and lower -range missiles. On August 2, 2019, the United States left the agreement, accusing Russia of violation. The Russian authorities rejected the prosecutions, saying that the United States was only looking for a reason to get rid of the restrictions in the field of control of weapons.
