France and China announced their readiness to take part in the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan delegation led by Minister Almasadam Satkaliev was on a working visit to the Chinese People’s Republic.
The parties discussed the issues of cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, oil and gas, electric power and renewable energy sources. At the same time, the Chinese side expressed a high degree of readiness to support Kazakhstan in the implementation of the NPP construction project.
Satkaliev also held negotiations with a potential supplier of nuclear technology, which included in Short List, General Director of the Chinese National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) Y.Shen.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia made its proposals regarding the construction of nuclear power plants in Kazakhstan.
