The Minister of Justice of France Gerald Darmanen announced new attacks on prisons.
Darmanen on the social network X said that “the employees of prisons were again attacked.”
He emphasized that no one was injured as a result of attacks, but these attacks, committed “during the period of restoring order and power in prisons,” are of the nature of “humiliation” of the state, and demanded that the guilty are caught as soon as possible.
“I know that I can trust the determination of the Ministry of the Interior as soon as possible to catch the guilty and put an end to this mess,” the minister wrote.
On the night of April 14-16, in France, attacked prisons in cities such as Toon, Marseille and Lyon were attacked, after which the investigation began.
Gerald Darmanin noted that the government will not retreat before various “intimidation attempts” – from arson of cars to shooting from automatic weapons at prisons, calling attacks “terrorist acts.”
