A few hours before the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in the French capital, the movement of trains was massively violated.
This was reported by the National Company of the French Railways SNCF (Société National des Chemins de Fer Français) – the main operator of the passenger railway transport in France.
Railway message in the West, North and East of France suffered from the “actions of attackers”, the company’s page said in x.
There were interruptions in the movement of trains following the neighboring Belgium and under the La-Channel to London, noted in SNCF.
Following a major attack aimed at violation of the network of high -speed trains, the route was changed or the flights of many trains were canceled, the statement said.
“We ask all our passengers who have the opportunity to postpone the trip and not go to the station,” SNCF said, adding that they will soon release a notification for citizens in connection with the current situation.
