France Said That Together With United States Are Working On 21-day Ceasefire In Lebanon

The Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Jean-Noel Barro, said that together with American partners, efforts are being conducted to establish a 21-day temporary ceasefire in Lebanon and urged the parties to accept the proposed agreement.

“The war is not inevitable. The diplomatic decision is possible,” Barro said during a speech at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, organized at the request of France dedicated to the situation in Lebanon.

The Minister said that together with American partners, they are working to establish a temporary ceasefire in Lebanon.

He added that the details of the agreement will be made public in the near future and called on both parties without delay to accept it.

Barro also said that at the end of this week he plans to visit Beirut for negotiations with local players.
