France takes diplomatic and economic measures to achieve the cessation of conflict in Ukraine, but does not want to become a member and enter into war against Russia, said French President Emmanuel Macron on TV channel LCI.
“We do everything to provide intermediary support in the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. France will continue to provide sanction pressure on Russian leaders and the Russian economy, support Ukraine. We want to stop this war, without becoming a warring party,” quotes Macron TASS .
According to him, sanctions introduced against Russia are a reaction to Ukrainian events, which, however, does not mean at all that Paris wants war with Moscow.
