Frankfurt Airport was flooded due

The airport of the German city of Frankfurt was flooded due to the rain.

The pouring rain in Frankfurt-on-Main forced the leadership of the local airport to suspend ground service. Many flights are suspended in the air harbor, some of them are redirected to other airports. Strait rain led to partial flooding of the runway.

It is specified that about 70 flights were canceled on Wednesday.

Baden-Württemberg, Reynland-Palatz and Thuringia, where the cellars in private houses,

were most affected.

Many firefighters worked until the morning to pump out water from houses, streets and underground crossings.
