GRTGAZ operator said that France no longer receives Russian gas on the pipeline, BFMTV reports with reference to AFP.
“France has not received Russian gas since June 15 in connection with” the cessation of the physical flow between France and Germany, “the publication said.
Gas supply to France could stop due to the fact that Gazprom significantly reduced the volume of supplies to European countries, including Germany.
At the same time, GRTGAZ assured that the reserves in French gas storages were filled with 56%.
A few days ago, the British newspaper The Daily Express wrote that France has increased the purchases of Russian gas, despite the agreement between the countries of the European Union to reduce fuel imports, and in the future to completely abandon it.
Before that, the Minister of Economy of France Bruno Le mayor said that Paris was trying to find a replacement for Russian energy resources, including gas and oil.
