From May 1, Uzbekistan Will Be Allowed To Mark Products And Services By “Halyal” Sign

since May 1, 2025, in Uzbekistan, products and services certified in accordance with the requirements of the standards of the Institute for Standards and Metrology of Islamic countries (SMIIC) will be able to marke the sign “Felle”.

According to the Uzbek state media, the corresponding decree of the Government of Uzbekistan was adopted on February 1 of the current year.

A document, in particular, approved the procedure for certification of products and services for compliance with the requirements of “Felal”.

within the framework of the initiative, certification bodies will be created, and the requirements for products and services will be based on international standards.

The Technical Regulation Agency of Uzbekistan, together with the Religious Committee for six months, will accredit certification structures with the involvement of international organizations.

It is also planned to develop an official standard that determines the shape and size of the Halal sign. The decision will enter into force three months after the official publication.
