New Zealand manufacturer of dairy products Anchor Fonterra announced that he will close his office in Moscow. This decision is made against the background of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Reported on the Fonterra website, the company announced the exit from its joint project with the Russian company Unifood.
“We will close our office in Moscow, we will transfer the staff, where possible, and will come out of our joint venture Unifood,” explained Miles Harrell’s general director, Rosbalt reports.
At the end of February, Fonterra has suspended delivery to Russia. It accounted for about 1% of its annual exports, the creamy oil was mainly supplied under the Anchor brand.
Interfax reminds that New Zealand exports oil to Russia for more than 40 years. Fonterra entered the joint venture Unifood in December 2018.
