The FSB, together with other power units of the Russian Federation, neutralized the “sabotage group” of the Ukrainian special services in the Bryansk region. This was reported on August 31 by Russian media with reference to the Center for Public Relations (Central Department Stations) of the FSB of Russia.
“FSB, in collaboration with the Federal Service of the National Guard troops and the Ministry of Internal Affairs on August 30, 2023, the activities of the Ukrainian sabotage and terrorist group consisting of personnel security officers of Ukraine, military personnel of the Main Directorate of Intelligence and Special Operations of the Ministry of Defense were suppressed on the territory of Russia. Ukraine, ”the FSB of the Russian Federation said in a message.
As noted in the department, the purpose of “saboteurs was the commission of a series of resonant terrorist acts at objects of military and energy infrastructure”.
It is reported that during the operation, two members of the group were killed, and five were detained.
