Foreign special services are increasingly trying to involve Russians, especially young people, in terrorist activities. This was announced by the chairman of the National Anti -Terrorism Committee, director of the FSB Alexander Bortnikov, whose words are given by Russian media.

Bortnikov noted that the regime of the counter -terrorism operation introduced after the attack of Ukrainian armed groups is aimed at protecting citizens and suppressing terrorist attacks.

“In the Kursk region, the Kyiv regime, with the support of the collective West, carried out a terrorist attack on civilian facilities and a civilian population with attempts to gain a foothold on Russian territory. At the same time, he emphasized that “the assessment of the work carried out under these conditions unequivocally showed the importance of an early organization of readiness of all subjects of counteraction to terrorism to respond to exacerbation of the situation.”

“From the beginning of the year, 110 terrorist attacks have been prevented, the preparation of which was involved in citizens recruited by the enemy. For the preparation and commission of terrorist crimes, the justification and propaganda of terrorism, financing terrorists and the provision of accomplishment assistance were detained more than 1,050 people,” Bortnikov said.

He noted that the goal of terrorist attacks is to destabilize the situation in the regions of Russia. “Recent attacks on cult structures and police officers in Makhachkala and Derbent is a clear example of this,” he added.
