Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora (GCD) Fuad Muradov met with active members of the Azerbaijani community in the Swiss cities of Zurich and Basel.
According to Haqqin.az, citing the press service of the State Committee, during the meeting, a debt took place around the implementation of the further activity of the diaspora in Switzerland, based on the tasks of the Azerbaijani president at the V Congress of Azerbaijanis.
In particular, we are talking about the development of Sunday Azerbaijani schools operating abroad, which represents priority in the system of relations with the diaspora.
It is emphasized that with the support of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora in 16 cities of the world, the houses of Azerbaijan were opened and support was provided in the organization of Sunday schools.
F. Muradov also got acquainted with the activities of the Azerbaijani dance circle “Buta” in Zurich, created with the support of “Friends of Azerbaijan” and the HCD. Lessons in a circle in the youngest and older age groups are conducted by experienced choreographer Jamil Muradov. In Sunday classes, Azerbaijani children learn national dances.
Although Bota was created relatively recently, nevertheless, the circle achieved a number of successes, was awarded the first place at the international dance online competition “My Motherland – Azerbaijan”, organized in May 2021 by the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic and the development center children and youth number 2.
The head of the Azerbaijani Friends Association Arza Aliyev Bodmer and parents expressed gratitude to support for the activities of the Bota dance circle.
