Fuad Nagiyev wants to raise regional tourism

On July 1, a presentation of the Regional Innovation Tourist Product Program (RİTM) was held, developed by the State Tourism Agency to support tourist startups in the regions, as well as attracting investments in the development of regional tourism.

The presentation was noted that RİTM as a regional enterprise support program will stimulate the development of innovative startups by attracting investors and IT tourism professionals, as well as develop the entrepreneurial potential of the local population, maintain small and secondary entrepreneurship in the tourism sector.

Chairman of the State Agency for Tourism Fuad Nagiyev said that the startup program will help improve the quality of services in regions, an increase in the number and diversity of tourist products, as well as the development of sustainable tourism.

F. Nagiyev noted that the development of regional tourism is one of the main factors that will increase employment and create new enterprises in the tourism sector.

Chairman of the Minor and Medium Business Development Agency (Kobian) Orhan Mamedov said that the RİTM program is aimed at realistic and measurable results, and expressed the agency’s readiness to provide a project full support. He stressed the importance of the project components aimed at ensuring employment through small and medium-sized businesses.

During the presentation, information was provided on the functionality of the site https://ritm.tourismboard.az/, through which you can join the project, as well as the conditions for submitting an application for participation in the startup program.

The event also held a press conference, at which representatives of the State Agency for Tourism and Tourism Bureau Azerbaijan answered questions from media representatives.

Note that Pasha Holding, German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), as well as the International Audit Company PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) are involved in the RİTM program as partners.
