Russia is making targeted efforts to normalize relations between Baku and Yerevan.
This was announced in an interview with TASS by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Galuzin, answering the question of whether the peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan could be signed in the foreseeable perspective.
According to him, the basis of the efforts of Moscow-“a set of trilateral agreements at the highest level of 2020-2022, providing for a number of priority measures, including unlocking transport ties between the two countries, the division of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and the development of contacts through the civilian society “.
“We provide consistent assistance to the parties in the development of a peace treaty,” Galuzin noted.
The deputy head of the department emphasized that “these steps should lead to the creation of conditions for a durable, stable and fair world in the region, which will be a reflection of a peace treaty.”
