Today, a memorandum was signed between the Azerigas Production Association of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and OJSC Ganja Machine-Building Plant. This was reported in the press service “Azerigaz”.
According to the report, the document was signed by the Director General of Ruslan Aliyev and the executive director of JSC Ayat Bagirov.
It should be noted that the “Strategic Road Map on the prospects of the National Economy”, approved by the Presidential Decree of December 6, 2016, determines the support of import-substitution activities as a strategic goal. As part of the economic reforms conducted in Azerbaijan, the creation of new import-substituting industries and expanding export opportunities are among the priorities of the state. Support for increasing the competitiveness of domestic production also follows from this intention.
Memorandum, signed with the Ganja Machine-Building Plant, will provide a local manufacturer with a legal framework to meet the demand for household mechanical gas meters type G-4T and G-2.5T, manufactured with German ELSTER HONEYWELL.
Speaking at the event, R.Aliev said that this cooperation would reduce the dependence of SOCAR from the import of meters, and also prevent foreign currency outflow from the country will provide transparency, optimizes costs and increase revenues in this field of activity. The general director also noted that in order to ensure transparency, a visit to Ganja Media representatives will be organized to familiarize themselves with the work and conditions of the plant.
A. Bagirov also noted that in order to meet the need for Azerigaz at a high level, they have professional staff and equipment that meets international standards. He assured that the counters manufactured by them will correspond to the high level of subscriber service.
