Prices per thousand cubic meters of gas fell to $ 3050 due to the rapid filling of storage facilities in Europe, writes Bloomberg.
Several European countries filled their gas storage facilities by 79.36% two months earlier than the deadline, GAS Infrastructure Europe (GIE) reports. Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Poland, France, Sweden coped with the task. Germany is also a step away from the desired volumes.
“October storage indicator of 85 percent should be reached by the beginning of September,” said Germany Minister Robert Habek.
Against these news, exchange prices for gas went down. In particular, the gas futures on the TTF Dutch hub were sold for $ 3050 for a thousand cubic meters.
