A service meeting was held under the leadership of the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov. This was reported to the Ministry of Defense.
The meeting was attended by deputy minister, commanders of the types of troops, chiefs of the main departments, departments and services of the Ministry. The commanders of military associations and formations were involved in the work of the meeting through video communication.
At the beginning of the minute of silence, the memory of the dead as a result of an earthquake in Turkey was honored. The Minister of Defense brought to the attention of participants in the meeting of the presidential of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces of Ilham Aliyev about the provision of comprehensive assistance to Turkey.
Z. Gasanov thanked the military and members of their families who took an active part in collecting assistance for those who suffered from the earthquake in Turkey.
The Minister of Defense brought to the meeting participants the tasks assigned to the supreme commander inquired related to the constant combat readiness of the Azerbaijani Army units, after listening to reports on the results of verification of the combat capacity of the units. Highly assessing the results of inspections, the minister gave instructions to officials on organizing combat training measures in conditions as close as possible to real battle.
During the meeting, the operational situation was analyzed in detail on the border and in the territories in the Karabakh economic district, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily deployed. Colonel General Z. Gasanov gave specific instructions on taking preventive measures against probable threats.
At the meeting, the importance of maintaining a high level of combat effectiveness of the units, especially deployed in areas with difficult relief and harsh climatic conditions, compliance with safety rules and adoption of proper fire measures when performing official combat tasks, was noted. Specific instructions were given to increase vigilance in case of combat duty.
