Gazprom began to turn off European countries from gas

The Russian Energy Company Gazprom announced for force majeure circumstances that do not allow it to put gas to at least one large European importer, reports Reuters.

The agency analyzed the letter of the company of July 14, which was not published for the general public. According to him, Gazprom announced the impossibility of fulfilling its obligations for gas supplies due to “extraordinary circumstances that do not depend on it.”

The application applies only to the supply planned from July 14.

It is not known exactly which country will be disconnected from gas. According to a trade source, whose name is not called, the letter is about gas supplies by Nord Stream-1, the main gas route to Germany and beyond.

Gazprom has not yet given comments. Experts suggest that this situation will lead to the escalation of tension between Europe and Russia.
