Parliament of Georgia has developed a draft resolution, which encourages the European Union to speed up the process of integrating the republic to the association, reports TASS with reference to the report of the legislative body.
“We call on the EU countries and the EU institutions on the basis of Article 49 of the European Union Treaty to take all necessary steps to speed up Georgia’s accession to the European Union,” the report says.
The resolution also encourages the executive power of Georgia and the European Union to increase the participation of Georgia in the EU programs, as well as the acceleration of Georgia’s integration into a single economic space of the association.
