From March to June 2022, about 6,400 companies owned by Russians were registered in Georgia. This indicator is 7 times higher than the entire 2021 years, said the head of the major non -governmental organization “International Transparency – Georgia” by Eka Gigauri, according to the results of the study, Russian media reports.
According to her, about 93% of registered companies are individual enterprises, which indicates that some Russian citizens moved to Georgia for business activities.
Gigauri emphasized that in Georgia, about 13,500 Russian companies are currently registered in Georgia. Half of them appeared in the country after the invasion of the Russian Federation to Ukraine.
